Since Kyra only knows Marshallese, we practice English every day. One thing we do is go around the house and point at/touch items and say their English name. She likes to repeat it. She knows how to ask for a drink in English now. Today she put my cup next to hers and said, "Momma, say idaak". Idaak is drink in Marshallese. I said, "okay, that is fair, I will learn Marshallese too!" Annette, it is funny you mentioned la, la, la because I was sure to bring that book with me that you bought me for Jinnae. Kyra loves it too. I still try to go through life with the la, la attitude. Life is too short to be stressed out all the time! Hee!
